Hello,My Dad is getting a new computer soon.Either this: http://www.scorptec.com.au/system/102or this: http://www.scorptec.com.au/system/109Most likely the first one.If you can't get into the link, or any other problems the main spec's for the first one are:CPU: Intel Core i7 920 (2.66GHz)/8MB/4.8GT QPIRAM: Geil 3GB Kit (3x1GB) 1333MHz DDR3Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD5770 1GBPower Supply: Antec 650W PSUHard Disk: Western Digital 1TB, Caviar Black, SATA-II, 7200RPM, 32MB CacheCase (If this helps?): CoolerMaster CM 690, Black, ATX, 2 x USB2.0, Tool-free drive baysWe aren't exactly sure on what we want yet, but these two are the sort of computer we are looking for.I'd appreciate it alot if you answered this for me, or as many possible:- What will the FPS be Approx? | [hard to judge probably]- Will it be consistent? | [No random lag, or a jump from 50FPS to 10FPS]- What do you reckon I'd run it on? |[E.g; High, Very High, Ultra, etc.]THANKS!

Definitely not enough memory. 3GB is the bare minimum. I would also increase the PSU to 900 or 1KW. You might also look over at the AVSIM Hardware forum where others have discussed systems. Your dad's system will run okay as is above but you'll have to turn scenery sliders down and do some tweaking to avoid CTD's. It's hard to say how many fps you'll get with this system as it all depends on what addons, commercial scenery, commercial aircraft addons, etc., that you will be running. Let's just say you can't turn all the sliders up to max and expect good fps with your current config.Best regards,Jim
