Whoa! WIN 7 and FSX

Tom. Have you been able to install any addons that don't come with an installer? I'm totally baffled with Win 7 and FSX! I've copied bgl files into my addon scenery folder (I can see them there with windows explorer) but they don't show up in the list of airports in the sim! I've turned off UAC, tried ADDIT Pro, still no luck!
Yes, since my original posting I have added considerably to the system. I am in Australia at the moment and do not remember all the details. When I get back next week, I will provide a list and an update on my system's performance. I can tell you that I added ASA and the FSGenisis mesh files (and others as well). More later.
