January 27, 201016 yr Fly! AirlinesMontreal, QuebecJanuary 26th 2010 1900ESTToday, Fly! Airlines officially announced changes to the flight schedules and their recently additions to the fleet.First, I'd like to mark that the airline is going through some tough times. We have seen record low pilot activity and pilot applications are getting less frequent in the last two months. This notes to us that something is not catching the pilots eye. We asked a few people about the website, operations and the fleet, most commented on the pirep system, VaBase. We have done some research and we have been given a guaranteed spot as Beta Testers for VAMS (Virtual Airline Management System) coming out this March. The last two weeks Fly! Airlines have been delivered 7 Airbus A320-216 aircraft, ordered in mid October 2009. The A320's will provide the airline with the needed passenger capacity for our most demanded flights. The A320 is the final aircraft type we will be delivered for a long period of time, but we plan on ordering more A320's and A319's if the pilot activity increases in the next few months. Also, we have returned all leased aircraft from Us Airways this includes the 4 Embraer 190IGW's and the single Airbus A319-132. Flight wise, the airline suspended all seasonal flights due to low passenger demand, but has added new flights the timetable including a flights from YUL-YYT-LHR-YYT-YUL, YVR-YOW-YVR, YYZ-YQM, SFO and LAS-YYZ. We are aiming to add YUL-YYT-CDG-YYT-YUL and to a few more European destinations in the future. For booking assistance or additional information, please contact Tony Belliveau at [email protected]Pilot RecruitmentFly!
