Crash detection on animated gate

Featured Replies

I am building a gate that opens with the Com2 radio. I would like to add a crash box (crash detection) to it also, but I can't seem to get the two working together. Is there a way or is this just a limitation. This is for FS9. How I am attempting it: Build gate in FSDS3 then add key frames (tick 18) and export an .X file With "makemdl" I add the crash detection and check box for add animation, then compile. With "CAT" animation tool I enable animation trigger, Nav2 frequency and 1200h, then compile. Place gate with EZscenery. The gate will open but no crash detection. If I bypass the animation I have crash detection but no animation. Can't seem to get both working at the same time. Thanks for any help on this question. Jay

I think I answered my own question with some more basic simple testing. Evidently, when you place a conditioned object with a crashbox to show on, say, one particular day, the object will only show on that particular day, but the crashbox will stay active on all days even though you cannot see the object. So I guess you cannot condition a crashbox. Jay
