FSX ai traffic and VoxATC X Deluxe

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,i have just bought VoxATC X Deluxe Edition and if i don't mistake, one of its features is to interact with FSX AI traffic and to recognize 3rd party traffic addons. Now, i'm using Ultimate Traffic 2 as ai traffic into FSX.If i try to use UT2 ai traffic and VoxATC traffic together, the ATC doesn't see the UT2 ai traffic position and authorize me to takeoff with another aircraft on the runway. :( I have tried to disable UT2 traffic and enable the VoxATC Ai traffic option but i can see only three aircraft types (B737, kingair and learjet) that are the FSX default aircratfs. How can i see the UT2 aircraft using the VoxATC ai traffic option?if i'have maken a mistake to understand the interaction between voxATC and other ai traffic addons, please help me to understand the description on the voxATC box: "Now integrates seamlessly with FS-X Virtual Traffic... and recognizes 3rd party traffic addons" means.Thank you so much for the help.Christian.

Hi Christain,What do you mean by 'UT2 ai traffic and VoxATC traffic together'? For best results the traffic slider in FSX should be disabled (airline and general aviation traffic slider in FSX set to o%). When no AI addon is installed VoxATC will use the AI traffic from FSX, otherwise it will use the AI traffic from UT2, MytrafficX or Traffic X for instance (not the AI flightplans associated with those programs since it is generated in a different way). The density of this traffic is what you set in the VoxATC settings menu. What is your setting by the way?The description 'Now integrates seamlessly with FS-X Virtual Traffic... and recognizes 3rd party traffic addons' means the above; it will use the traffic from those programs but will generate it in it's own way.Hope this will help you,Lion

Hi Lion and thanks for the reply.I have set the slider of FSX ai traffic to 0% and have enabled the VoxATC traffic option setting it at 50%. Without any other ai traffic software installed into FSX, the traffic is showed correctly and i'm happy to use voxATC.The problem is that if i install Ultimate Traffic 2 or My Traffic X, and reindex the traffic of VoxATC with voxATC indexer tool, i see only three aircraft types, Kingair, B737 and learjet that are the default fsx aircraft.Yesterday i have solved the problem with My traffic X moving the bgl files called mytraffic.... that are into $FSX/mytraffic/scenery folder to $FSX/scenery/world/scenery and moving the mytraffic aircraft's folder into $FSX/simobjects/airplanes. Done this, i have reindex voxATC traffic and i have seen the traffic of MyTraffic X controlled by voxATC X.This seems to be the real solution at the problem but this mean that the tool voxatc indexer doesn't work correctly and more exactly doesn't compile the blg out of folder $FSX/scenery/world/scenery and doesn't read the aircraft that are out of FSX default folder.I'm tried to execute voxATC on Windows 7 and windows Vista obtaining the same result.I must try to make the same with UT2 and verify if it works.I suggest if possible to write at voxATC developers to correct voxATC indexer tool.Thank you so much and good day.Christian.

So, if I interpret correctly what I'm hearing, if I replace the default FSX traffic with WOAI in order to get real airlines, VOXATC will use those aircraft, but not the schedules I download? That's OK, I just want to be sure I can at least hear and see real-world aircraft at the departure and destination airports.krswen
