First Custom Build PC for Gaming!

Featured Replies

This is me first post so I guess Helloooooooooo!OK... So after having bought a few gaming PC's and being left dissapointed, I've decided to build my own. I'm not sure what the graphics would be like with my 'blueprint' so it's as follows: PSU 850W + Case & Fans Motherboard ASUS M4A77TD PRO 770 Socket AM3 8 channel audio ATX Processor/CPU AMD Phenom ii x4 965 Black Ed. 3.4GHz 8MB L2 Cache S. AM3 Graphics Sapphire HD 5750 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI Display PCI-E RAM Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333MHz x 3 6GB Total HDD Samsung 3x EcoGreen F2 1.5TB Hard Drive SATAII 32MB Cache (4.5TB Total) Optical 24x Sony DVD+RW SATA Operating Sys Windows 7 ProfessionalI have no idea what the graphics would be althogh I could imagine they we're pretty powerful, however, I've heard that FSX can challenge the most powerful computers. Would I get good graphics on this set up for FSX? Not to mention the countless aircraft, scenery, traffic, etc add-ons that would be added to FSX with 1.5TB drive reserved for files.I have been reading a lot about X-Plane too... is it similar to MSFS or totally different?Would appreciate some advice and points in the right direction!Happ Simmin :)

I'm gonna keep this simple so, on max settings with that system, most likely, slideshow. The only computers that handle fsx on max settings smoothly, are i7's like mine. A highly OC'd Core 2 Quad may run it ok, but with stutters. BTW I'm running at 1080p so if you're running a lower res. Expect better performance.
