Help with Nav Display

Featured Replies

Hi There, I've just returned to Flight Sim after being absent for some time. I am trying to find out how when you fly this big bird you deal with the EFIS control in VOR mode. The ND display shows the usual VOR pointer and off set bar. On the 737 for example you can move this with the COURSE control. I can not find a similar control on the 747. Can anyone out there help me.Many Thanksnavyman

Hi. I guess you are talking about the defauls FS 2004 747s, ie Landmark, Global Freightways etc.... If you open the 747 model at the default airport of Seattle, you will notice in the top right corner of the NAV display it will say 'CRS 340' All you need to do is mouse over this, and you will see a + or _ If you need to set a course of , say 270 then just click your mouse when it displays the - until you get to 270. Got any hard questions? All the best, Phil

Hi Phil, thank you for the quick response. I was actually trying to fly the ifly 747-400!! I'm guessing that you just have to turn the heading of the bird toward the VOR and then engage the LOC button. Is that so?regardsRoy (navyman)
