Mission not showing up in FSX ?

Featured Replies

I have a small mission that I had made in Instant Mission Maker. I flew the mission. I changed a few things in the xml using FSX Mission Editor, checked for errors, saved it and now it does not show up in the FSX mission list ?The .flt and .wx and .xml files all exist. What are the all the possible reasons for a mission not showing up in FSX ?

I tried some quick checks. The object file at the bottom of the .flt file does correctly (spelling) point to the .xml file.If I double click the .flt, it loads, but there are no objects that I added at the airport.I think I remember hearing that if one object is not working (an AI-Only aircraft missing a module.cfg file) then no objects will load.Curious - Does anyone know the checks that FSX performs upon reading a .xml, before FSX decides if it will use the file ?

The resolution was to use the simpropcompiler.exe from the SDK and that checked for the first error and returned the line it was on. All fixed now.
