YMML - ATIS

Featured Replies

I was executing a flight from Adelaide (YPAD) to Melbourne (YMML). When approaching YMML, I wanted to select ATIS. According all official documents (ILS charts, ...) the ATIS frequency at YMML is 132.700. But when I open my ATC window, I see '2. Select ATIS at 132.699'When I press 2 (to activate ATIS), nothing happens. The is no ATIS message displayed, even the radio doens't tune to any other frequency (nor 132.700, nor 132.699).Is there a solution for that ???Thanks,Rudi

You can open up the Radio Stack and manually tune COM1 to 132.700. ATIS should be tuned. As for the 132.699 problem, I dunno. The next one down from .700 should be .675. Have you played with the AFCAD for Melbourne (new scenery, perhaps?) Oh, and is FS2002 or FS2004? If it's 2002, open up the AFCAD file for YMML and check the ATIS frequency. If it says .699, that's your problem. The radios can't tune there. Fix it in AFCAD and save it. If it's 2004, then you'll have to wait for the new AFCAD.There's a great beer called Adelaide Lager. My local brew emporium (near KBED) had it for a while. It wasn't a very good seller (it's kind of an American Beer town, might as well be KBUD) and I think I ended up with half their inventory. Only other place I ever had it was in an Aussie bar in Aspen. G'day, mate!

Hi,I already tuned manually to 132.700 but nothing was received. I indeed installed new scenery for Melbourne. I will investigate the AFCAD file. If this gives no solution, I'll remove the add-on scenery and try with the default one again. It's fs2002.Thanks,Rudi
