Google Earth Live Flight Paths & Flight Logging - OrbitalTRAX

Featured Replies

So, the other night I was bored and thought about going for a virtual flight in FSX... re-installed the game, put on FSHost and connected to a server. I thought ya know, it would be cool if others could see what I was doing or where I was flying even if they didnt have Flight Simulator X. So it got me thinking... and then it hit me, Google Maps / Google Earth mapping! What I've done is setup a system that monitors the information available from all the public servers that run FSHost, and compile and log it all into a database. It then allows people to view on the site the current flights being undertaken in a visual way by mapping into Goolge Maps on the site.. for those with Google Earth there is a KML you can load which then plots all current flights take off, current location and flight path flown on journy. http://www.orbitaltrax.com/ Take a look, I'd love some feedback.. ideas etc that i could put in.:)
