sim1.dll error Crash to desktop

Featured Replies

My new rig seems to crash every once in awhile and keep getting the sim1.dll error. Can anyone point me to a fix. I did read all the stickys and still stumped. I did change the FSX.exe so it runs in XP 32bit mode under windows 7 and have not had a crash for over an hour of testing.Log Name: ApplicationSource: Application ErrorDate: 3/24/2010 10:20:10 PMEvent ID: 1000Task Category: (100)Level: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: Marks-PCDescription:Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14Faulting module name: sim1.dll, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb59Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x0006f087Faulting process id: 0x13b8Faulting application start time: 0x01cacbbf05cc0fe0Faulting application path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exeFaulting module path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\sim1.dllReport Id: ef31ee00-37b4-11df-a12d-001fbc008d5bEvent Xml:<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2010-03-25T02:20:10.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>1529</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>Marks-PC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb14</Data> <Data>sim1.dll</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb59</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>0006f087</Data> <Data>13b8</Data> <Data>01cacbbf05cc0fe0</Data> <Data>D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\sim1.dll</Data> <Data>ef31ee00-37b4-11df-a12d-001fbc008d5b</Data> </EventData></Event>
