March 28, 201016 yr Hello to allI have used for over 2 years ASV6.5, a beautyfull tool and a must in all, I mean in all, my virtual flyes superstable product and never never a CTD.The las week find in simmarket the Active Sky Evolution, and I desided buy it, in Simmarket buy the ASE-Full program, but when I instaled I see that it is sloooow progam and I have CTD all the time, in fact I couldnt make a Flight with it.What I saw is that my ASv6 was intact after the instalation, and I dont have ASA, since I pick to buy ASE-full.My cuestion is:Did I purchase wrong?, should I Brought first ASA and make a ASE as and upgrade? If it is the problem for the slow performance and for CTD's, how can fix it?when I start ASE and configurate a flight the FS takes to much time to load a wheather, and always get a CTD, or in load time or in flight.my specsFS9.1 Update instaledMicrosoft windows XP service pack 3intel core 2 duo a 2.53 Ghz3 Gb RamVideo ATI radeon HD 3870 X2DD 500 GBCinema Sony 32" TV 1920x 1080and Samsung 32" series 550 1920x1080and I use AES, ASE, Ground Environment, Flight Environment, Fspassengers,
March 29, 201016 yr Hi,Sorry for the problem. You have purchased correctly. The start up time for ASE is a bit longer than ASv6.5 as it is doing much more data processing. How much time would you say it takes ASE?You could try running ASE on your second core and see if that helps things. Also, having the Force High Priority Processes option On may help. You should start ASE and let it download its data, then start FS.Any error messages when FS stops running?
March 29, 201016 yr No, not a good solution.Indeed, it is best to confirm the affinity for the two cores.
March 30, 201016 yr Jimin my system, FS9 works much faster if I set the affinity to 2 cores.I know that FS9 is not built for dual-core PC, but it happens so.
March 30, 201016 yr Author Thanks for the repalys to allJim, how can I send ASE to an other core, and how can asign High process for ASE?do you have a link to explain this, maybe in another treatcheers to allmario
