want to shut a runway, fsx

Featured Replies

I am using latest ade to edit a stock airport, want to close a stock runway with its 2 ILSs for 6 months as in real life for rehab. Tried NO for takeoff/land both ends under Pattern tab but no diff.what else do I have to change to make this work?

an update to my problem. the airport has three runways with ILSs, two parallel and 3rd at 13deg, non intersecting. I added the parallel rwy myself. Now the problem is bit complicated than I thought. I aim to disable one of the stock runways (other parallel one) so that fsx completely ignores it. B4 I added the parallel runway fsx would use one of the 2 stock non parallel ones according to wind. after adding the parallel one fs atc now completely ignores the non parallel one whatever the wind be, which is understandable. Now I was expecting to have the stock behavior after disabling the stock rwy but didnt happen. It looks like the runway remains partialy visible to atc as it keeps the parallel pair active (also present in atis) yet uses only the unclosed new runway despite the wind. The non parallel runway not used at all no matter the wind direction. This glitch doesnt happen if I disable my added parallel runway as then it uses one of the two non parallel ones according to wind. Further I went on to completely delete the stock runway, its approches, changed all its headings b4 delete so that no possibilty of a paralllel pair but no use. only that now it dont list in atis aswell but non parallel one still not usable.anyone?
