FS9 freezing on Window mode

Featured Replies

Well I was having this problem and I found out how to fix it so I decided to share with you guys who might having the same problem how to fix it. The problem was that sometimes the window were freezing. I had sound and everything on the background but the image was frozen. I'm using Windows 7 but I saw many people with Vista having the same problem and perhaps with FSX as well. How to fix it: Right click on the FS9 icon; Properties; Compatibility; "Deactivate desktop composition" (or something like that). And that's it! :( Regards,Patrick Cramer

Thanks for refreshing the old known method. I think this has been mentioned on many occasions. Not only as a cure for freezes, but also various other problems. Though I must say, since I have latest drivers etc, my Win7x64 doesn't need any compatibility mode.

I'm also using Win7x64 and I had the problem...I think it happens to some people probably according to their configuration and theme preferences...anyway, was really hard for me to find the solution of my problem...perhaps I couldn't search it really well but the point is that I'm just trying to make the life of the people who has that problem easier. :( Patrick Cramer
