April 23, 201016 yr Hi there. I've just been fling the 185 on tundra tyres and the ski version and I've noticed that the ground handling of both aircraft are appalling. I can't execute any tight turn of any sort even using differential braking unlike with the standard wheels version. Is there a way to "copy" the ground handling characteristics of the default wheel model in to the skis and tundra tyre models?Cheers,Ross Intel Core i7-3770K @ 4.4GHz|Asus Maximus V Extreme|16Gb Ballitix Tracer @ 1866MHz|EVGA GTX680 SC Signature SLI|Asus Xonar Pheobus|Custom Watercooling|Corsair AX1200W PSU|CM Cosmos II
May 9, 201016 yr He Ross,Just give a quick check and make sure you don't have the tailwheel locked. That will severely limit your ability to turn. If the lever (next to the trim wheel) is in the aft position, then it is locked. I think Shift+G is the control, but you can just click on the lever to lock/unlock it. Also, you need LOTS of power in short bursts to get it to come around in its own radius, and pump the inside brake lots. You can't just hold the brake as you need a wee bit of forward motion to get the castoring tailwheel to get all the way turned. Hope that helps, but post back if it doesn't. Hi there. July 4, 201015 yr I have the same issue. Tail wheel lock is off, I am using Saitek rudder pedals and it still turns very hard.
