Reasigning A/P on Yoke

Featured Replies

Is there anyway to change A/P on Saitek yoke (A1 & A2) to somewhere else or off the yoke all together? I want to have A1 & A2 for TrackIR profile (center & pause).

Are you using FSUIPC? I have all assigments through this setup, Not FS9 or Saitek. You should be able to assign anything you want to any switch button or keyboard assigment. There are limited functionalities through FS9 and Saitek assignment menu hence use FSUIPC. I have always used the left hand red button on the Saitek yoke for A/P, (select AP Master, buttons/switches thru FSUIPC).

Running FSX and have tried FSUIPC, but seems every time I hit any button on left side of the handle (A1,A2) it disconnects A/P. The only thing that FSX A/P is programmed for is the keyboard. Md-11 seems the only one I have this problem with. Thanks for the help.

The only thing at the moment which I think may be causing this:At some point you may have assigned thru FSUIPC the A/P using the box "Aircraft Specific" assignment thus locking this assignment into the Yoke for the acrft. As much as I hate to say this, you may need to create a new CFG file and then to be sure test the A/P assignment to see if it has been cleared. Also be sure you have cleared/eliminated all assignments in the MSFS assignment menu, (never mix and match, can create problems) and totally remove the Saitek menu for assigning such things. This is not the only method for resolving this issue should it be the cause, but it is the most certain way to be sure you have eliminated any possible trolls. The other method would be to isolate the one acrft and delete any and all assignments for "Aircarft Specific" for the MD-11 should any exist, I could suggest something else but it may only compound the problem. Explaining things like this over letter format is difficult, if you have any questions plz forward. Hope this helpsP.S. if you do not know how to create new CFG file plz advise.

Thanks CX; working on taking profiles out and starting from scratch, as it were. That is probably best way to solve the problem..I use FS9 so I don't know what FSX cfg looks like when assigments are made. I have attached the relative portion of my cfg file using FSUIPC you can compare. If this does not work let me know, there is one other thing we could try.[JOYSTICK_SLEW {EFA519B0-6F37-11DA-8001-444553540000}]AXIS_EVENT_02=AXIS_SLEW_HEADING_SETAXIS_SCALE_02=127AXIS_NULL_02=1[JOYSTICK_MAIN {C49C0A70-9969-11DE-8002-444553540000}]BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_02=1BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_03=1POV_MOVE_EVENT_00=PAN_VIEWPOV_MOVE_REPEAT_00=1[JOYSTICK_SLEW {C49C0A70-9969-11DE-8002-444553540000}]AXIS_EVENT_00=AXIS_SLEW_SIDEWAYS_SETAXIS_SCALE_00=127AXIS_NULL_00=1AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_SLEW_AHEAD_SETAXIS_SCALE_01=127AXIS_NULL_01=1AXIS_EVENT_03=AXIS_SLEW_HEADING_SETAXIS_SCALE_03=64AXIS_NULL_03=36BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_00=SLEW_RESETBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_01=VIEW_MODEBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_02=SLEW_ALTIT_PLUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_03=SLEW_ALTIT_MINUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_04=SLEW_PITCH_PLUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_05=SLEW_PITCH_MINUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_06=SLEW_BANK_MINUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_07=SLEW_BANK_PLUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_08=SLEW_FREEZEBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_09=SLEW_RESETPOV_MOVE_EVENT_00=PAN_VIEWPOV_MOVE_REPEAT_00=1[JOYSTICK_MAIN {C49E7B70-9969-11DE-8003-444553540000}]BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_02=1BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_03=1BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_07=2BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_08=2[JOYSTICK_SLEW {C49E7B70-9969-11DE-8003-444553540000}]AXIS_EVENT_00=AXIS_SLEW_SIDEWAYS_SETAXIS_SCALE_00=-64AXIS_NULL_00=36AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_SLEW_AHEAD_SETAXIS_SCALE_01=64AXIS_NULL_01=36BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_00=SLEW_RESETBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_01=VIEW_MODEBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_02=SLEW_ALTIT_PLUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_03=SLEW_ALTIT_MINUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_04=SLEW_PITCH_PLUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_05=SLEW_PITCH_MINUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_06=SLEW_BANK_MINUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_07=SLEW_BANK_PLUSBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_08=SLEW_FREEZEBUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_09=SLEW_RESET[KEYBOARD_MAIN]ATC=192,8SCRIPT_EVENT_1=219,10SCRIPT_EVENT_2=221,10CENTER_NT361_CHECK=57,11VIEW_TYPE_REV=83,11INVOKE_HELP=191,10AIRSPEED_BUG_SELECT=82,11
