Quick save flight

Featured Replies

This possibly is a useless post to most of you, but lately I am saving my flights more often due to FSX sometimes locking up on me. I used to do this by saving a flight called TEMP, so whenever FSX locks up I only have to restart and load the TEMP flight to continue the flight. I did wish there was a quick save option though, like ctrl-s in Word or something, because it sort of spoils the feeling of being there when you have to call up the save window, enter a name (or click on an existing name) and pressing Enter (twice if the filename already exists). Yesterday I suddenly thought of simply not enterening a full name but just an easy key in order to speed up the process of saving games in midflight. So I chose the '-key, which is beside the ;-key which you use to open the save window. After that I found out that I can really save a flight very quickly by pressing ; ' Enter Enter in a row (two times Enter because the file called ' already exists and needs to be overwritten). Those keys are beside each other and you don't have to wait for the save window to appear! The screen goes black for only a second and that's it! Almost no 'immersion break'!So whenever I want to save a flight (which I most certainly will do more often now) I press ; ' Enter Enter and I am done in a split second. I thought it might be a nice idea for those that also don't have FSUIPC (or anything else) to automatically save a flight. :(
