logo.pngMay 20th, 2010- Manhasset, New York- Empora Airlines has announced a rebranding. This shift includes an overhaul of the companies' website, logo, and a gradual introduction of a new livery for the airline's fleet. The aircraft, website, and logo will all bear the new colors of violet and gold. This is compared to Empora's traditional grey and green colors. The executives stated that since purple and gold has historically represented royalty, it is a strong match for Empora's luxury oriented brand. Empora's top executives emphasized the changing brand because of an advancing world, and Empora needing to be leaders in innovation in the Aviation industry. 2w1vzpj.pngEmpora also announced changes in the fleet. Chief Strategy Officer Quinn Rogness stated, "After looking at our fleet, we have decided that we will phase out the Boeing 767-200ER and Bombardier Q200 over the summer when both of the aircraft type's leases will expire". Rogness cited age and inefficiency as to reasons the 767 would be retired, he continued, "The 767 was a temporary solution to fill the transoceanic gap we had in our fleet until the Airbus A330's arrived. With most of our A330's having been delivered, we can now retire the 767". When speaking on the reasons for retiring the Q200's, Rogness stated, "The Q200 was a short term lease, and at the end of the lease, we would decide whether it met our desires for short haul, regional routes, and now we have decided that the Q200 does not quite fit our desires, and therefore we will retire them on July 1st, when the lease ends". Empora also announced that its' first aircraft, an A320-200 registered N201EM, is the first aircraft to bear Empora's new livery after receiving the fresh paint, and a Heavy-C check. Empora's fleet will gradually transition into the new livery, and aircraft will be painted into their new liveries while receiving heavy C Checks.Updated Domestic Route Map. Denver Operations as a feeder have been ceased.domestic.jpgEmpora's parent company, RM Holdings announced that the company would be starting a new airline, WorldFlex. The WorldFlex brand has been acquired with permission from Pierre Knoblauch, the airline's previous CEO. WorldFlex originally was designed to be a Luxury carrier out of Mumbai, but rebranded to become a luxury carrier based out of Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT). RM officials chose to revive WorldFlex and create India's first luxury airline. Chief Operating Officer Nathan Coats said, "I am so excited about WorldFlex! I am excited about getting into a growing market and India, and can't wait to be the first luxury carrier India has had. I also believe that India is the brightest star in terms of growing markets, and countries with great potential. The Middle East is a great, new market that is in need of air service, as they are an advanced people, and growing part of the world. I can't wait to visit India, and I look forward to flying WorldFlex to get there". WorldFlex will serve Singapore, Paris, and Dubai from Mumbai, and will use newly leased 767-200ER's. WorldFlex's first flight will takeoff on Monday, June 14th.WorldFlex Livery:wf3.jpgWorldFlex Route Map:worldflex.jpgEmpora has also announced that they will extend the Codeshare agreement with FlyUK. Chief Executive Officer Paul Marcus said, "The agreement has produced record activity for both Airlines, and we at Empora, and the FlyUk staff both agree that the contract should be renewed". Empora will be expanding the codesharing with FlyUK to new routes to be announced later. Finally, a shocking announcement occurred at the end of the press conference. CEO and founder Paul Marcus announced that he would be retiring in August. Marcus founded the airline in 2007, and it has grown from a small carrier based out of Kennedy International into the world's largest luxury virtual airline under Mr. Marcus' leadership. Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President Quinn Rogness also announced that he would be leaving with Mr. Marcus in August. Mr. Rogness has been with Empora since early 2008, and has overseen the intercontinental expansion, and the transition to an Airbus fleet. Empora will look for a replacement for Mr. Marcus both internally within the company, and externally in the Virtual Airline community. Mr. Marcus said, "While I have a deep passion for Empora, and a desire to make the airline succeed, Quinn and I both have decided that this would be a good time to move on to other things due to our increasingly busy personal lives, I love Empora, and I have served the airline to the best of my abilities over the past three years". While there have been many virtual airlines that have come and gone, Empora has remained strong over the past three years, and a bright future, is surely ahead.Empora will be debuting it's new website at 10:00PM ESThttp://emporavirtual.com/If you have interest in the CEO or CSO titles please contact Paul Marcus at [email protected]
