FS9 stops responding

Featured Replies

I have a problem which I do not understand. I start FS9 and w/in minutes it stops responding. I am unable to exit the program (FS9) or my computer. I have to manually shut my system down using start button. Looking at the event viewer in System section of event log I see the following:Source: Service control manager error type: Event ID 7023Discription: The HID Input Service terminated with the following error: The system cannot find the file specifiedLooking in the application section of the event viewer at exactly the same time as this error occurred the Windows security center activated Event ID number 1800Any help to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated as I cannot fly till it is corrected.Thank You

Take a look at your system's device manager and see if there are any HID devices that have a big yellow question mark next to them. You may need to reinstall a driver. Before you reinstall any drivers, check and make sure that all of the connected devices have a nice, tight connection. For Windows XP...Click Start, click Run, and then type "devmgmt.msc", (without the quotation marks) , to bring up the device manager Mark

Besides wanting to get the problem fixed, what could cause this sudden problem w/ HID.....I have been reading some stuff most of it Greek to me, I have not been on my machine much since last flight, which was normal in all respects, so I have been trying to think if I may have caused this somehow or if the thing just had a system glitch. :(
