Goose Fuel Gauge

Featured Replies

Hi, i've been tweaking the default Grumman Goose in FSX, correcting the fuel tank to 2 x 110 gallon tanks instead of the 170 it came with. I've sorted the ammount of fuel it should have out in the .cfg, now i'm trying to get the fuel gauge to read correctly. I assumed that it would be a case of editing the Fuel.xml in the goose cab file (in pannels folder), switching <GaugeString>%((A:FUEL TANK LEFT MAIN LEVEL, percent) 1.7 * )%!d!</GaugeString> to<GaugeString>%((A:FUEL TANK LEFT MAIN LEVEL, percent) 1.1 * )%!d!</GaugeString> for both tanks, and remaking the cab file. But now when i load up the plane, i'm missing the overhead pannel, although the guages show up (and read correctly) and also some of the instumensts on the main pannel are missing needles and or faces :( .Anyone Know whats going on or can help out (or knows what there doing and can edit the cab for me O_o) also trying to do the same thing but with 2 x 229 Gal tanks (to represent a ferry tank installed in the fusalage), again changing the line of text to <GaugeString>%((A:FUEL TANK LEFT MAIN LEVEL, percent) 2.29 * )%!d!</GaugeString> works for the correct reading, but wrecks the cockpit in the same mannor!
