June 22, 201015 yr OK, I am new to FSX and was struggling with something and I need your help. In FS9, you could create three 2D views; forward, forward left, and forward right. I would undock each one and place them on three monitors and line them up and get a decent "panoramic" view. Alex Reid had been very helpful in that area for me. In FSX I seem to be stuck with VC views only and it does not match to the 2D forward cockpit view. I would like to have the same kind of panoramic views as I had in FS9. I really prefer the 2D cockpit. Is this possible? Thanks for answering.John
June 27, 201015 yr Yes you can easily do this. You can do it by adding cameras into the aircraft.cfg and then tweak them. An example:[CameraDefinition.1]Title = "Left Side Window"Guid = {0ae3f864-da10-4e5a-977c-b9bba47d6f7a}Description = View of the left wing from the passenger cabinOrigin = Virtual CockpitSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FALSEPanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FALSETrack = NoneShowAxis = FALSEAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.8ShowWeather = YesInitialXyz = -3.2, 1.8, -5InitialPbh = 5, 0, 260XyzAdjust = TRUECategory=AircraftMomentumEffect=TRUEClipMode=MinimumThe lines in bold are what you have to customize. So you will create several such CameraDefiniton entries. Thos enumbers are what tell the camera which way to point. Note that if you want INTERNAL sounds with these views the origin must be Visrtual Cockpit! You can then open each view in a seperate window, undock it and drag it to your other monitors. Be aware this can cause quite the drop in FPS unless ur PC is powerful. This link will help you a lot:http://www.fs-seine-75.com/SDK/Core%20Util...nfiguration.htmThe alternative to this nerdiness :) is to just get a app like EzDok but I dont know how good/complex that is so perhaps someone who has it can give you feedback. From what I gather you can set a view in the sim and then save it immediately.
