MelJet 747 spirals out of control in FS9

I just installed FS9 over the weekend and have added some MelJet 747s, which have been flying since last fall in FS2k. For some reason, after I get the plane airborne, whether autopilot is activated or not the 747 will turn hard right then nose dive and begin spiraling out of control. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I have done little to no tweaking of FS9 to this point.
