FS9 Settings.. What Is Lens Flare, & What Do it Do?

Recommended Posts

Guest JDiaz

It's that little flare you get when you look towards the sun, it doesn't really serve an operational purpose other then eye candy. It looks really nice but it may not be everyone's tasteDoesn't have much if any frame rate impact on my machine so I leave it on.Jason

Well it adds realism to the spot plane view if you think of it as a camera but does detract from the realism for cockpit views because lens flare is just that....LENS flare...Artifacts created by the sun flecting off the internal optics of a camera and it doesn't affect the human eye :) Opinions differ on whether they like it or not. FUIII had the same option and the same differing of opinions :)
