FS2004

In the FS2004 Flight sim, all the trees are painted on a black cardboard square, also some clouds are in such a square.Have 850MHZ sys using GEForce II I've downloaded Direct X 9 and also 30.82 from N'vidia to no avail....Any Suggestions? -Yah - get a new computer! :-) Thanks Eddie

Until my GE II died, I ran FS2004 fine with the 21.83 drivers. If you've enabled anisotropic filtering, make sure FS2004 also has trilinear filtering set in the options. Given the speed of your system, I believe Microsoft defaults to bilinear. Bilinear filtering, combined with anisotropic filtering, will sometimes cause black squares to appear around objects...Also, as an FYI, the GE II doesn't allow for water reflections in FS2004. But oddly enough, you can see them if you copy the textures over to FS2002....go figure :)-John

yup i know the answer to thisHad the same problem after checking this optionEnable Texture SharpeningVia the Riva tuner driver tweaken thing.Also i got the red text in flightsim on this black square background..very Commodore 64ish!..LOLedit..just read the above post..try those as well..try one at a time till you hit the magic number
