August 15, 200322 yr Thought this might be encouraging to all of us who care about the commercial success of this hobby as a way to help ensure future development.NPD Techworld released their list of the top-selling PC games for the week of July 27 through August 2. 1. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: Century Of Flight 2. The Sims: Superstar Expansion Pack 3. Warcraft III: Frozen Throne Expansion Pack 4. The Sims Deluxe 5. The Sims: Unleashed Expansion Pack 6. Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided 7. Diablo 2 8. Warcraft III: Reign Of Chaos 9. Zoo Tycoon 10. Roller Coaster Tycoon 2It's great news to see FS2004 right at the top of the list against some heavy competition that has, in theory, much broader appeal. Let's hope it stays in the charts for a while!
August 15, 200322 yr It is interesting to notice that while a few of those other games are in the second or third version, FS in in the ninth! And still there are some people worrying that flightsim is dying.- Oyvind
August 15, 200322 yr It turns out that not only was it the top selling PC game, it was the #2 selling piece of PC software across all categories. Coming in second only to Norton Antivirus, the perennial leader, it beat out Office XP, Windows XP, Norton Systemworks, etc. Pretty remarkable achievement I'd say!

Nothing about quality here; good product marketing will sell anything you really don't want or need..... Paul
