BIOS recconise the HD but not WinXP+Win7 installation DVD/CD

Hi,I have a problem, when I look in the BIOS I see the HD but when I start my intallation DVD/CD it dont find the HD.In BIOS I cane only change SATA disable or enable.I trying to intall to a ATA/IDE HDWhats wrong ?ParSweden
