Is it normal that each time i experience turbolence winds drop suddenly to 10 knots with small gusts to 11/12 knots and they quickly change direction?E.G. I'm flying at fl330 and winds aloft are 45kt when they suddenly drop to 10/11knots as a standard value each time.Thank you.Ema

Hi,yes, i have fsuipc4 installed but only the unregistered version.. Now this is funny.. I've just flown limc-gmmx, in the meanwhile I wrote to you.In the beginning, I would evperience MY usual kind of turbulence, that is winds would drop to 11/12 knots abruptly.Then I read your reply, I entered FSUIPC4 and clicked on weather settings off. Turbolence set at about 50 knots with gusts up to 10 or even 15 knots,which would mean that things apparently went back to normal, being at any altitude of 35000 feet. I soon started my descent but when the turbolence ended, winds dropped from 50 to 25 knots (I was at a much lower altitude by then) and stabilized.I kept descending and winds calmed down up to 15 knts but when I entered some turbolent air again, winds increased suddenly to the previous value of 50 knots likeat a high altitude.I actually had to land with a turbolence of 50 knots and strong gusts of 15.What's really wird, is that after parking,I switched to the slew mode, climbed up a few feet and I could still see winds at 50 knots. So I entered FSUIPC againclicked on weather settings off and turbolent winds decreased at values around 20 Knots.Same altitude still in slew mode, I entered FSUIPC once again pressed weather settings off and turbolence decreased once more to 8/10 knots with very little gusts, no more than a couple of knots, which would be normal at ground level.. I did it once again and turbolence dropped further to 5 Knots and gusts of 1 knot.. Even better fora surface wind.. I did it once more and the surface winds totally ended..Any ideas about what's going on?Thanxps. I couldn't see any 'Default Settings' option in the FSUIPC screen.. did you mean the 'Normal defaults' option? Only that it appears to be a different alternative tothe 'weather settins off' option.. I mean either one or the other..
