Fly with Keyboard

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,I'm currently flying on Flight simulator X with keyboard. and actually I've put white stickers on my another keyboard to customize. as in real world I'm learning on Cessna 150, so i need some suggestion on how to customize my keyboard? and I'm gonna buy another keyboard (USB) one so i can use actually 2 keyboards and mouse.. ( i know yoke and rudder are far too better for practice) In this topic all my concern is to make basic layout for keyboard for everyone, by which they can perform all sort of functions effectively without any problem. I've got one pdf file from AVSIM library where there is 3 different layout for keyboard, but i need some advise from experienced flight Sim users which function they use most for flight, and how they want their keyboard to modified to use that functions.like all engine operation can be on left side (Q-W-E,A-S-D,Z-X-C) and all view keys can be assign to (Insert-Home-Page up,Delete-End-Page Down)... and so on....I'm glad to receive any suggestion regarding this topic.Thank you all for your time.Airohaed.1)here is one layout from our member "Art_P"index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=msg&attach_id=214092) Orchestra_nl have posted link for great utility to connect more then 2 keyboards. Hi Airohead,I pretty much fly with the default keyboard configuration. The yoke, pedals and throttle quadrant take care of most of the basic functions. I use an usb keypad for ATC and have programmed the most important functions to buttons on the yoke and quadrant. FSUIPC allows me to assign eight functions (like shift, ctrl) to a single button so I could program nearly all view related functions to the POV HAT. For example, HAT forward can be Forward View, Zoom In, View Next etc. depending on what other button I press at the same time.Allard.
