September 12, 201015 yr Hi,I have recently set up a small home network and I now try to run as many FSX programs from a remote computer as possible. Now I would like to run ASE also from this remote pc. However, what is the easiest way to achieve that? Do I need to uninstall everything from my FSX PC and install from scratch again on the client (ASX - ASA update - ASE update) or can I just copy some files that are key for this networked configuration to my remote computer and then configure simconnect and firewall? Thanks,Alex Best regards, Alexander Rietveld
September 13, 201015 yr Hi,You need to have a complete install of ASE on the client computer. Then you need to install the proper FSX SDKs in order to install SimConnect on the client. There are 2 configuration files to set up and place and firewall adjustments to make along with some network sharing of some folders on the server computer. It looks like a lot, but if you follow the ASE manual it just takes a few hours, at most.
