From single computer to networked setup

Featured Replies

Hi,I have recently set up a small home network and I now try to run as many FSX programs from a remote computer as possible. Now I would like to run ASE also from this remote pc. However, what is the easiest way to achieve that? Do I need to uninstall everything from my FSX PC and install from scratch again on the client (ASX - ASA update - ASE update) or can I just copy some files that are key for this networked configuration to my remote computer and then configure simconnect and firewall? Thanks,Alex

Best regards,

Hi,You need to have a complete install of ASE on the client computer. Then you need to install the proper FSX SDKs in order to install SimConnect on the client. There are 2 configuration files to set up and place and firewall adjustments to make along with some network sharing of some folders on the server computer. It looks like a lot, but if you follow the ASE manual it just takes a few hours, at most.
