What I've found when saving flights and weather.

Featured Replies

Hi!Directly after installing FS9 on my machine about two weeks ago I discovered that the flights I saved were no longer retrievable. I checked the files and found that the filenames had two periods (..) before the flt and wx extensions. After removing one of the periods from the .flt and .wx files the flights could then be loaded.Just yesterday I couldn't understand why the weather wouldn't save with the flight, and realised that I was flying the SF.260. In the flight name I would start with SF.260, and discovered that if I changed that to SF-260 the weather loaded up fine.If you have any problems with saving flights or weather, my advice is to avoid entirely using periods or other characters that filenames don't generally like. For some reason FS9 doesn't seem to have failsafes in place for this. I still love it, though!James
