Winds Aloft Question

Recommended Posts

Guest pumrigar

Hi,Has anybody been able to fly with winds aloft enabled either with FS2004's own real weather or FSMeteo ? Even with rate of weather change set to zero, I get violent changes in wind direction such as a 70 kt headwind going to a 70 kt tailwind in 1 second. I do have FSUIPC (registered version) with wind smoothing enabled but it does not work. I have seen other posts on this but no definitive solution. Thanks,Pesi

I enable winds aloft all the time with FS2004's weather. Seems to work fine Don't use add-on weather. Art

FSUIPC in FS2004 seems to have absolute zero effect on the build-in real weather download sadly. Why its like that I dont know. Seems to be only for 3rd party weather programs that the wind smoothing works.I too have experienced rapid wind changes with winds alot. Solution? I either download real weather data without winds aloft or make the weather manually with wind in one direction.

Thanks. The smoothing does not work with FSMeteo either. I am doing as you are and not downloading aloft winds.Pesi
