Started using two monitors-need advice

Featured Replies

I just purchased a second 20 inch LCD monitor and started using it with FSX. I'm using the FSX software itself to generate an additional 3d cockpit view for the 2nd monitor. However, this is a less than satisfactory way of having a wide continuous cockpit view (which is my goal), since it's virtually impossible to synchronize the two views (out the front and out the right window)from each individual monitor, in order to have the illusion of the cockpit view covering a wide angle.I'm using the DVI output of my video card (a GTS-450) for one monitor and the HDMI output for the 2nd monitor. I've started to research the Matrox DualHead2 Go device but I don't know much about it or how well it works. I understand there is an analog and digital version so I'm guessing that I would purchase the digital version, since both my outputs to the two monitors are digital.Just looking for some information on this product, how well it works, how to set it up etc. Thanks.

]My setup has 4 displays. 3 are widescreen, set to true in cfg, the 4th is an old crt. The top two displays are set in the nvidia cp to horizontal span and I have commented out the vc so I can see right out the windscreen and pan view. The display below that is widescreen that I use for the 2d main instruments and the crt is used for atc, gps, ect. There is a thread on here someplace about undocking views and then locking them so they pan together but its a major performance issue for me. I have spent many hours just finding the right solution that works and I am not done yet. I am always changing this and that, adding hardware but fly it at the same time.TH2g is probably the way to go. But its expensive. I saw this the other day if you have display ports http://www.newegg.co...ago-_-15242003. Its 1/2 the cost of Matrox.
