September 6, 200322 yr Just wander if I'm the only one on this but I was flying into an airport that has a low freq AWOS something you would listen to on your Nav freq and was unable to get on the sim. Using the flight guide noticed that there was a phone # for it so with those unlimited night and weekend local and long distance free min's used my cell phone to call and get the weather. Sure I could of pulled it up from with in the sim but felt that wouldnt be available in real flight so did the only thing I would be able to do in the plane had this been a real flight. So my question is Anyone else ever do this or have any stories to share about how they combined real flight with sim to create a real as it can get flight?NP
