September 14, 200322 yr Hello friends!FSCentre team is starting a new virtual pilots club - DC-3 Club. We are collecting information and photos of DC-3's ever flew, then we will repaint them and will add to our fleet. Every pilot will get corresponding aircraft that he always flies (if not stated sometimes otherwise). For start we will try to get at least 10 machines under control, it means full repaints and information. Our club will make short commercial flights sometimes and we will organize flying events together. Also, we plan to visit all larger fly-ins and events in VATSIM. The first one is Friday nite fly-in in Amsterdam Schiphol where we plan to land and then Opensky 3. The website is currently in development. So basically, we are trying to make it as real as possible. We are looking for volunteers who are good in english language, experienced in flying and helpful. If you are interested, please contact me via e-mail [email protected] , ICQ 287323803, AIM "abc5net" or Yahoo Messenger "abc5net".Please write littlebit about yourself, your hobbies and experiences, also your age and country.P.S.Our aircraft bases will be located somewhere in Europe, probably in Estonia, Sweden and Finland.Thank you!!Best regards,Georg Liigand
September 14, 200322 yr GeorgYou might want to take a look at www.dc3airways.com - there's already an excellent VA for the DC-3. Also, I presume you know the Encyclopedia Morsonica at www.douglasdc3.com - a wonderland of DC-3 material and links.Good luck with whatever you choose to do; but you might be covering old ground with your idea. Check out the links above, in any case.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumontwww.swiremariners.com/dc3.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
September 14, 200322 yr Thanks for the information!Anyway, ofcourse there are other DC-3 airways and virtual airlines, but we are not going to make another virtual airline, it will be very realistic and well organized pilots club, where we have airplanes that only we use. I am checking the douglasdc3.com website, it looks wonderful.
