September 20, 200322 yr I have got over most of my gripes about FS9 and have now settled down to learning how to fly it properly. But I do miss some classic 2k2 aircraft. Amongst them is Milton Shupe's fantastic -7. Does anyone know whether Milton has upgraded the aircraft for FS9. I would be grateful to know,as it is one of the best add-ons ever and flies closer to the real world than almost any other, commercial or freeware. I would like to be able to carry on enjoying the great challenge of landing it short of a steep approach.
September 20, 200322 yr Check the file library, there is an update for the -7. One of my favorite aircraft to fly!
September 20, 200322 yr Thanks for the comments :-)YOu will find the FS9 upgrades for the FS2002 versions in the FS2004 Repaints...Modifications Section.Dash7v9.zip for the passenger versionDash7c9.zip for the cargo version. You must have the FS2002 version(s) to upgrade, or download them.Late this year, expect a VC version of the Dash 7 with significant revisions and features.Milton
September 20, 200322 yr I look forward to the VC version. No more helicopters to London City :-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/36121.jpgStill waiting for my new PC:Athlon 3000512Mb PC3200 DDR RAM (400MHz)256MB nVIDIA GeForce FX 5600seUntil then, FS9 sits on my shelf :-(
September 20, 200322 yr Many thanks Milton,I appreciate your help and your quick response. As to RTC stay brave - I upgraded to an Athlon 3000 and a GF5900 and the performance is fantastic. I can pull 50+fps in flight at altitude, get 20+ in low level steep turns in VC over Seattle; run the framerate hungry PMDG 737 at much the same rate at airports. Only problem is to having to bring the mipmapping down to stop shimmering and flickering. Maybe Nvidia will consider flight sim requirements in it's next driver update.
