September 20, 200322 yr In my FS the groundtextures are sharp inside a border. But outside this border they are very blurry, and I find this very annoying when I fly at high altitudes. Is there a way to get rid of this border?
September 20, 200322 yr Hi ?:Try cutting back on your terrain mesh setting. It is under Settings/Display. If you are running 100%, try 50% or less and see if that solves the problem.Wilson
September 20, 200322 yr Check the check mark in your display settings that say Display extended textures. That will get rid of it. If you don't have it checked, it creates that border and adds very generic blurry textures.Extended textures will still blur, but they will follow the pattern of the textures within the "border" so that the fade is much more subtle.
September 20, 200322 yr HI Flygutt:I had this problem to and figured that it would take a hardware up gr-ade to see better results.and after trying the fs20004 cfg file adjus-ments that people have sugested in this forum my system got even slow-er.so i just started trying different settings with the rivatuner andto my delight, now i have sharp textures at great distence now.My setup in the tuner is this:anisotropy=4-8 mipmap=0.4 AA=2 Nvidia ti4200 128 not overclocked 1.6 mhz amd w98se.All settings in the sim is default and every thing runs smooth until ihit heavy broken cloud cover. Now i'm very happy with this baby hope this helps.:-wave
