October 17, 201015 yr Hello my fellow sim pilotsI love my 777's.I like the POSKY 777's as its a well made model and very detailedbut because its so well made they are lots of polygons that make up that model hence frame rates suffer, so i've stuck with my ported Overland/SMS models.I like the SMS model as they look good and most importantly they are frame rate friendly. Now this is my question:When I fly at night and I turn my NAV lights (green, red) which is fine but there is supposed to be another pair of static lights just behind them that are supposed to turn on too. How do i know this? becuase when I hit the 'L' key ALL the lights on the aircraft come on (NAV, Strobe, Becon, Taxi, and Landing lights) plus two static white lights on the trailing edge of my wings. Is there a way to map this trailing lights to my NAV lights so that they come on when I flick the NAV lights switch in the cockpit.I've noticed that default FSX Boeings do this and the POSKY 777 also. I reckon some XML coding might be involved...Also is there anyone outthere who has updated the Overland FDE and dynamics (possibly using POSKY data as a template). I found something here on Avsim but these updates are completely off mark.......
October 18, 201015 yr I'm with you on the the Overland models, they are easy on frame rates. Did you get the FSX update from them? Don't know if it will fix the issue you mention, but it does resolve some others. There were some new FDE's in the library here. Not sure of the author. Also, if you are a vc flyer, check out the updated textures by Pablo Diaz. I just installed them and they take the Airbus A380, 340, and 330 (with mods) to a whole new level. iberiaec10b.zip Wish he would do some for the Boeings.Cheers
