Dear Simmers I hv just installed Nvidia FX5600 Ultra- 256 DDR and installed newest driver 45.23I have 2 main question for experienced simmers :1- My existing FS9.cfg file shows DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GEForce FX5600 Ultra.0I had previously noticed at avsim forums that it should look like as ;[ DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA Drivers on Win2K/XP]My existing FS9.cfg as DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce FX5600 Ultra.0Do I have to change mine ? Does it help to Frame Rates , because ;2- Although I have kept most of the Sliders at reasonable level ( almost all of them at medium level ) At low level flights, especially after take of or descending through the runway over the city , the frame rates drop down 10-12.How can

KhalpayI just bought that exact same video card. I dont think there is much you can do with frame rates on that. In fact I returned that card the next day and exchanged it for a radeon 9800 pro and all I can say is WOW. what a difference. If you can afford it I recommend it

ah own th' same card an' up graded t'it af'er ah installed FS9. In o'der fo' it t'wawk ah jest remove th' FS9 cornfig file an' it rebuilt it when ah started th' sim wif th' noo video card info. On account o' then its been smooth flyin'. Hope this hyar he'ps. NP

What a coincedenceI had returned ATI 9600 Pro back to dealer and got FX..just 2 days ago.But too late now..May be newer drivers will help me..Poor me..You think FS9.cfg will not help me ??

So if I delete FS9.cfgEnter the game again and amend FS9.CFG as ,Display.Device.Nvidia Drivers on Win2K/XPWill help me or NOT ???Trying so damage any file system ??Any solution pls..You use the same card ? Which Driver ? Satisfied ?ThksHasan

Yep, just remove it from the microsoft folder and place it on your desktop just to make sure but basically with the file missing when you start FS9 it will create a new one and with the correct video card info. When I put my new video card in I saw no difference then I was told to do that and banda-bang when I restarted FS9 with out the FS9 config file it started right up and saw the difference betwwen cards. I say put it on your desktop because in the event you modified anything like Vasi lights or whatever you can then cut and paste that info into the new config file.NP(in less redneck this time) :)
