September 25, 200322 yr Is there anyway a user can adjust the amount of glass reflections show up in Fs2004? A lot of the aircraft I have look like the windows were blown out. I noticed some developers countered this by tinting the glas a little like in Caranados Cessna 210. I have the FSD Cheyenne and windows don't show up at all. Is there any easy fix for this or do we need to wait for a patch from Microsoft or the Aircraft delevopers.Rob
September 25, 200322 yr Aircraft developers would need to patch this.FS2004 was changed, so that 100 pct. transparent objects hardly offer any reflections. This wasn't so in FS2002. Now, in order to allow a window to be more reflective, it must first be made more opaque by the aircraft developer. The difference is very slight--I'd say anyone other than the A/C developer would be hard pressed to tell a FS2002 model vs. a tweaked model. Then, a glass "texture" has to be applied with the alpha channel set somewhere between 0,0,0 and 64,64,64 depending on how extreme the reflections need to be.Changing the glass to something more opaque requires a mdl tweak. My recent Mirage already had the glass slightly opaque, so I only had to tweak the textures for FS2004.... The glass shines now, even without use of specular lighting, which is a whole other story :)-John
September 25, 200322 yr John,Thanks for the quick reply,I guess that explains it very well. Ill wait and see if any patches come out. Thanks again.Rob
