Hi All,I was wondering if any bright sparks out there can help me I have Bill lyons stinson and Ive been trying for ages to add some sort of hobbs guage (that uses FS2004 own saved hobbs info from the users section in winxp) And a temperature guage.I have the temp guague working I just cant get it to show on the VC as for the Hobbs info i have no idea?.Anyway any suggestions would be much apreciated.Thanks

What about Scott McMillan's Hobbs gauge, which writes a file? The files are here on Avsim. It is a FS98 gauge. He includes a utility so you can make separate gauges for separate planes so each gets its own DAT file to save the Hobbs data.What I would like to know is the format for the DAT file for the gauge so I can load an initial value.

Ok, I think I figured the format of the DAT file. Two bytes per Character, value in hex incremented by decimal 6. So 5 would be 30 converted to hex would be 1E 00 00 00 (<- two bytes).
