VC cockpit for Default Dc-3

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can find a better DC3 VC?I know that Brian Macmillan did one with Trev Morson, but's that for Trev's IFR panel. I just want a detailed VC for the default panel. The default VC for the Dc-3 is blurry.Jason

Jason,First, I assume that in Options>Settings>Display under the Aircraft tab you have virtual cockpit quality set to high. Second, if your resolution settings are low, the textures will seem blurrier. I recommend at least 1280x1024, as that's where the DC-3's VC sharpens up nicely for me. Third, if you're looking for a replacement (sharper) VC to use with the default plane, you're likely only going to find it included with a reworked package of the whole default plane, because the VC is included in the actual model that's located in AircraftDouglas_DC3modelDouglas_DC3.mdl and not a part of the 2-D panel you find in the panel folder (though the gauge assignments for the VC are part of the panel.cfg). I haven't seen a model rework or texture sharpening in the library to date, so I hope a higher resolution helps.Kevin

Hi Thanks for the tips. They prompted me to have another look around in the display settings, and guess what? I found a slider that I hadn't maxed out under the hardware settings. Global Texture Quality was only set to medium. I moved to maximum, and now the VC is just great!RegardsJ

Glad you got it working!Kevin
