September 30, 200322 yr Greetings.I JUST received my new pc today (see spec below). My previous system was a Pentium IV 2.0 Ghz from Gateway with 768 RAM and a Ti 4600 card. The difference between my old and new Alienware (http://www.alienware.com) PC is night and day. FS2004 runs a lot smoother and blurries are 95% extinct. I run maxed out hence the 5% of blurriness. My vote- Go for 3.0 from Intel.Tim
September 30, 200322 yr Now is the guestion, should i go for a Pentium 4 2,8 GHz 800 Mhz or a Pentium 4 3,06 GHz 533Mhz.Definately the 2.8GHz 800FSB.One of the advantages is it'll support dual-channeling memory which means each memory stick of the same is put in it's own channel and runs on its own independant frequency. Thus it is faster. For example, 2 sticks of 256MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM in a dual channel is better than 1 512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM stick.Definately go for the 2.8GHz 800FSB. It's newer technology.Regards
