Slow, Deep, Muddy, Robotic Voices

Featured Replies

I have a sound problem in fs9/cof...Sometimes all voices from all pilots as well as from all controllers become the one and same slow, deep, muddy, robotic voice.I cannot figure out what makes this happen or how to prevent it from happening. My settings are all on Medium Low.System: Windows XP Home, AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 7000 VE graphics card, Creative Sound Blaster 128 on-board sound cardAny help to fix this will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Nico

Hi,First, I want to let you know that my very first computer claimed to have a Soundblaster 16 onboard soundcard(we're talking 1997 here). Ha! It was not a Soundblaster. It was a Soundblaster 'compatible' soundcard. It was like an ESS 1868 or something. With that said, try running DxDiag and turning down the sound acceleration slider.Start --> Run --> (type in) DxDiag --> Sound TabI'm pretty sure that's where the slider is. You can try it anyway, or better yet, get a Soundblaster Audigy 2 PCI card. ;)Good Luck,JimHello Tower, I need clearance Clarence. Roger Victor what's your vector?

Yeah, all those lies. Thanks for your reply and sugestion. It seems to help for now. I also did the uninstall/reinstall dance. That is, I don't see any uninstall option for PMDG 737TNG. I had to just delete everything I could find, and then install once again. It also seems that changing views makes the sounds distorted. The same thing happened in FS2002, but not to same degree. My next investment will be a strong soundcard (thanks for your tip) and maybe a new videocard.Nico

Hi Nico,Well, I'm glad that seemed to have helped for now. There is no uninstall option for the PMDG 737 once it's installed. You have to get the removal tool from the PMDG web site. At least there used to be one there, I haven't visited it for a little while now. The filename is PMDG_737_REMOVE.EXECheers,JimHello Tower, I need clearance Clarence. Roger Victor what's your vector?
