Found a fix for loss of moving control surfaces in fs2002 aircraft

Featured Replies

This is my first post here so excuse me if this has been discussed before, but I have not been able to find any reference to this problem I have had. When I copied my 2002 a/c across to 2004 I noticed on a lot of them that the animated flaps, rudder, ailerons etc no longer worked. I discovered the other day that in the fs9.cfg there is an entry for each addon a/c followed by a zero. If this zero is replaced with a one then the control surfaces start working again.I think this has got to do with fs asking you whether you want unsupported features enabled when you first install these a/c. I made the mistake of selecting no, which I think disabled my control surfaces. If you do this you can not simply unistall the a/c and reinstall it as the fs9.cfg remains unchanged. Hope this helps somebody.GlennWellington, New Zealand.
