October 5, 200322 yr Hi guys.Suddenly, my seat height adjustment in FS9 is adjusting WAY more per click than it was before. If I press shift + enter to raise the seat one click, I am starring almost straight down at the runway. Same thing if I "lower" the seat...shift + backspace leaves me looking up at the birdies in the sky. Something I installed obviously screwed something up. This occurs in all aircraft, default and addon.Does anyone know where the parameters for this thing are? Is it in the fs9.cfg? What's the parameter? What is the default value? Thanks all,Nate
October 5, 200322 yr hionly thing i can suggest is to make a backup of your Fs9.cfg.and then delete it.restart Fs2004 and let it form another one.you'll have to make another startup file.(if you have one)if it doesn't work, you can always go back to the other CFG file. best wishes steve
October 5, 200322 yr The FS9 cfg file entry that controls this is PAN_RATE=400 found under the (Controls) section shown below:(CONTROLS)KBDAIL=64KBDELEV=64KBDRUD=64PAN_RATE=400<----------The default value is 400. Higher values will cause a coarser incremental adjustment, and lower values a finer incremental adjustment. This will greatly affect the pan rate in the VC however, and a value of 200 or so that allows you to "adjust your seat height" using small increments in the 2d cockpit, will result in a VC pan rate that resembles a person wearing a neck brace. You can't have your cake and eat it too I suppose. So navigate to wherever MS has seen fit to hide the FS9 cfg file on your computer, and check the PAN_RATE. Make sure FS9 is not running or any changes you make to the FS9 cfg file will not be saved.
October 5, 200322 yr Thanks a bunch Douglas. That must be it. I increased the value since I usually fly from the VC...
