Bob probably spent 20x more man hours making the legacy and this guy wants $6.50 for just the sounds? Hmmm.

I see your point... but nobody is holding a gun to the user's head to buy the sounds. It's all a matter of choice. I bought them (because I like Aaron's work), and am happy with what I got. For me, the sounds make a great aircraft even better.

Before you dig on Aaron too much, please realize he continues to provide freeware soundsets that are simply outstanding. He's decided to offer the FS community a mix of freeware and payware sounds and IMO deserves much credit for his contributions. You can always use the default Mooney sounds for the legacy if you like, but for some, the added realism from a custom soundset is as important as anything else. We all have a choice to purchase, or not to purchase payware add-ons. Dave

I agree with Davekden. Aaron Swindle has for years provided the FS freeware community with great free addons & continues to do so. If he chooses to charge a nominal fee for some of his work, it's your choice whether or not to purchase it. The originator of this post stated what a great product Aaron had produced. let's leave it at that. Try it if you wish.LPXO

Ok, I tried it. The sounds themselves are an improvement, but a couple of things are bad. First, the landing gear wave is far too short, sounds like the gear takes < a second to come up. Second is the engine sound repeats and has a large blip when it starts over, which is unacceptable.I'm sure he's a good guy and all, this isn't personal, but if he's going to charge then they need to be better than default.
