Panning in VC w/ mouse?

Featured Replies

Hey,I am currently flying the amazing PMDG 737NG which I can't get my hands off... My question was I was wondering if there was any way in FS9 that you can pan in the Virtual Cockpit veiw with the mouse, maybe even zoom with mouse wheel??? Can you do this in spot plane as well? Thanks for the help,Billy--Windows XPFS2004PIV- 2.8Abit IC71Gig Corsair 3500 DDR GeForce Ti4200 128mb

Hi,Well, first, I use a payware addon called 'Active Camera 2004', v1.1. There have been times that I have gone into the Virtual Cockpit and my mouse seemed to have grabbed the panning function, and it would not let go. I could not figure out how it got that way, nor how to stop without quiting the sim. Second, Active Camera has an option to Zoom in spot plane view with the mouse wheel, although I haven't tried out this feature of it myself, yet.Regards,Jim

i seriously suggest u get a joystick with a hat switch. pan using that. there is no better substitue imo. the deafult pan rate is too slow, increase it to 900 or something to speed up.

Hi Jim,I guess you enabled the toggle mouse look function by pressing F12 key (this feature is for TrackIR users). With version 1.1 you can re-assign this hot key through the graphic interface (FS9 - Options - ActiveCamera 2004 - Keys). Best regards,

Hi Serge,I sometimes use the F11 and F12 keys for differential braking. I will give changing the key assignment a go.Thanks,Jim
