Which weather options do I have if I don't like FS2004s own?

Featured Replies

Hi I was looking forward to try some real weather flying today - and boy was I disapointed.I'm from Denmark and therefore selected the closest airport for me - Vaerlose AB. I sat the time to the real time and let FS2004 fetch the "real" weather..... But no - it wasn't the real weather. In real life the sky was clear and really light blue and the sun was shining. Temp. about 13 degress C. In FS2004 I got partly clouded and visibliity at 16NM. What gives?I have read about fsmeteo and other "weather" programs but do they present a better "picture" of the real world weather here in Denmark?Any suggestions about which one?CheersMarkDenmark

Hello Mark,The Weather addons available will give you more accurate weather. They get their info from a different source than the built in FS2004 weather does. As for suggestion, I REALLY like WeatherCenter 2.3.1 myself. One of the nice parts of it is that it has a built-in weather radar as well as doing a good job on the weather. One thing about any addon weather program right now it seems, is that there's some pretty severe winds aloft change when entering the area of a different reporting station. But they are all pretty nice programs. Here's a link for WeatherCenter if you want to check it out.http://simwidgets.hifisim.com/Cheers,Jim

or try to fly on Vatsim a lot of times the weather is in a 15 Minutes delay or more it's very hard to get a weather that's current in your area but a lot of times i took a glance from my window and found the same weather that i am flying under. Best Regards Adib Afraj
