October 15, 200322 yr I am probably being dumb here but will ask the question anyway. I can't seem to get vectors from ATC - the most they will tell me via the atc options is which general direction the airport is in.Do you need to have a flight plan loaded before ATC will give you proper vectors to a runway? Anoying if this is the case!I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain this subject to me a bit better than what I already understand.Cheers.
October 15, 200322 yr Hi Rob,You have to file an IFR flight plan in order to recieve ATC vectors such as approach vectors. Otherwise, your stictly VFR and on your own which ATC will only give you the landing runway and general direction of the airport.Hope this helps.Cheers,Jim:-wave
