October 15, 200322 yr OK...I get most of how to fly...Except trim. I can never keepon top of it.Is there a way to automate trim in MSF2k2? I'm a newbie to flight sims, and even with a joystick, my hand-eye coordination is...bad.
October 15, 200322 yr In my experience, the trim in 2k2 in virtually impossible to get right, you will always be ascending or descending slightly.Try setting the autopilot for the altitude you want, then disengaging once you are well established at that altitude.Someone else may have a more useful suggestion!!
October 15, 200322 yr I think a lot depends on the aircraft and your controls. I use a Go Flight gear and trim module that gives very fine control over trim. In general it's not a problem to get things to straight and level. I suspect that most people's trouble with this comes from using the keyboard which doesn't provide as fine a control. If that's the case you can always go into the aircraft.cfg and adjust it:elevator_trim_effectiveness = 1.0aileron_trim_effectiveness = 1.0rudder_trim_effectiveness = 1.0Lastly, it does help to fly close to the aircraft's specifications for the phase of flight you're in.
